1. Our Commitment

Scrubby is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, or level of experience.

We are dedicated to fostering a community where all members can participate in a harassment-free experience. We do not tolerate harassment of any kind, and we expect all members to treat each other with dignity and respect.

2. Expected Behavior

We expect all community members to:

• Be respectful — Treat all users, team members, and partners with courtesy and respect in all interactions
• Be professional — Maintain professional standards in all communications and conduct on the platform
• Be constructive — Provide feedback and engage in discussions in a constructive, solution-oriented manner
• Be honest — Represent yourself and your organization accurately and truthfully
• Be collaborative — Work together in good faith to build a better community and better products
• Be mindful — Consider the impact of your actions on others and on the broader community

3. Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are considered unacceptable and will not be tolerated:

• Harassment — Any form of harassment, intimidation, or bullying directed at any individual or group
• Discrimination — Discriminatory jokes, language, or behavior based on protected characteristics
• Spam — Sending unsolicited bulk messages, promotional content, or repeated unwanted communications
• Unauthorized data collection — Scraping, harvesting, or collecting user data without proper authorization and consent
• Abuse of services — Using Scrubby services in ways that violate our Terms and Conditions or applicable laws
• Impersonation — Misrepresenting your identity or affiliation to deceive others
• Threats — Making threats of violence or using language intended to intimidate

4. Data Ethics

As an email validation service, we hold our users to high standards of data ethics. All users are expected to:

• Use email validation services responsibly and in compliance with applicable anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, etc.)
• Only validate email addresses that you have obtained through legitimate and lawful means
• Never use validated email addresses for sending unsolicited spam or phishing campaigns
• Respect the privacy and data protection rights of the individuals whose emails are being validated
• Maintain proper consent records for all email communications sent to validated addresses
• Promptly honor unsubscribe requests and maintain clean suppression lists

5. Reporting

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to us immediately. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

6. Enforcement

Violations of this Code of Conduct will be taken seriously and may result in consequences including, but not limited to:

• A formal warning issued to the violating party
• Temporary suspension of account access and platform privileges
• Permanent termination of services and account deletion
• Reporting to relevant legal authorities if applicable laws have been violated

The severity of the consequence will be determined based on the nature and gravity of the violation, whether it is a first offense or a repeated pattern, and the impact on affected individuals and the community.
